Shiro Tsujimura
辻村史朗は半世紀にわたり緑あふれる奈良の山中で制作を続けています。
心の赴くままに土を捏ね、筆を走らせ、日暮らし創作する。氏にとって作ることは生きることでもあるのです。
Shiro Tsujimura has toiled as an artist amid the verdant mountains of Nara for more than half a century. Kneading clay, sweeping a brush, living and creating day after day to his own rhythm. Creating is living for Shiro.

1947年 奈良に生まれる
1965年 画家を志す 禅門をたたく
1970年 水間（みま）に居を定める 築窯
1977年 水間にて初個展
国内で個展活動をはじめる（絵、陶芸）
1993年 ドイツ、アメリカ、フランス、イギリス
ほか海外で個展活動をはじめる
1999年 裏千家茶道資料館にて「辻村史朗・壺と茶碗展」
2007年 ベネチアビエンナーレ アルテンポ館に招待展示
国内外で陶芸、絵、書の展示会を開催
2010年 ベルリン ヤブロンカギャラリーにて個展
2013年 ベルギー アントワープ
アクセルフォヴォルト財団に招待展示
2022年 美術館「えき」KYOTO
ZENBI-鍵善良房-KAGIZEN ART MUSEUM

Artist Biography
1947 Born in Nara Prefecture.
1965 Decided to pursue a career as an artist. Trained himself at a Zen temple.
1970 Established his residence and built kilns in Mima, Nara.
1977~ Held the first solo exhibition in Mima. Started solo exhibition activity (painting and pottery) in Japan.
1993~ Started solo exhibition activity in foreign countries such as Germany, the United States, France, the United Kingdom, etc.
1999 Held a solo exhibition of jars and tea bowls at the Urasenke Chado Research Center Gallery, Kyoto.
2007 Invited to show in the Venice Biennale Artempo Exhibition.
2010 Held a solo exhibition at Jablonka Gallery, Berlin.
2013~ Invited to show at the Axel Vervoordt Gallery, Antwerp, Belgium.
2022 Held a solo exhibition at Museum「EKI」Kyoto, ZENBI -鍵善良房- Kagizen Art Museum
2023~ Held exhibitions of paintings, pottery and calligraphy in Japan and other countries.
